I have found Isa while looking for investment properties on BiggerPockets. First I was very skeptical about all the numbers and reading all the positive reviews. It looked like it's too good
to be true. The very next day after I send Isa a message she had connected me with Darren. Darren sent me a list of available properties, we spoke on the phone and did FaceTime a couple
of times. I have to emphasize that I am a newbie, from out of the country. And this was in the mids of the pandemic and border closure. There is no doubt that Detroit has had it's share of negative news. It's been a down market for a number of years, hit hard by the recession. Some areas were harder hit than others and it still shows, but i can attest to the potential. I'm a long time lurker on the Bigger Pockets and this is my first post. We took a chance on Detroit several months ago, despite the negative attitude on the Bigger Pockets, and now own a duplex and three single family properties. We purchased all of these properties through Michigan Cash Flow Properties specifically for the cash flow, and have not been disappointed. All of the buy and hold deals we've done hit the 2% rule at a minimum. Darren with Michigan Cash Flow Properties helped us to understand the dynamics of this market and have assisted us with the local utilities, rehabs and tenanting. We couldn't be more satisfied. If you're on the fence about this market you should definitely do your due diligence, but also contact Darren & Cristina as they have great insight on this market and how to make it work for your investment
strategy. We own properties in other markets that also do very well, but we believe Detroit is being reborn like a phoenix from its ashes.
